Sydney began her dental assisting career in 2001 after completing a CDA program at Illinois Dental Careers. She joined our team in 2022 and has been a valued part of our clinical staff ever since. Sydney enjoys being part of a close-knit team and appreciates the supportive and welcoming environment of the office. As a dental assistant, Sydney plays a vital role in supporting both patients and the clinical team. She is always open to lending a hand wherever needed, helping ensure that each day runs smoothly and efficiently. Her positive attitude and team spirit help create a comfortable and caring atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.

Outside of the office, Sydney enjoys spending her free time gaming, crafting and relaxing with her cats. These hobbies give her a fun and creative outlet while allowing her to recharge and enjoy the things she loves.

Arta joined our team in 2024 and brings over a decade of experience in dental hygiene. She graduated from dental hygiene school in 2013 and holds a bachelor’s degree from UIC. Arta appreciates being part of a small, dedicated team that focuses on individualized care and always keeps the patient’s best interests in mind. Arta’s attention to detail, ability to help patients with high anxiety, compassionate approach and clinical expertise help foster a calm and supportive environment where patients feel safe and understood.

Outside of the office, Arta enjoys traveling, trying new recipes and spending quality time with her dog, Grayson. She values the opportunity to unwind and explore new experiences when not caring for patients.

Chiane graduated from Aurora University with a Bachelors of Art degree in psychology. She joined our team in June 2024, and enjoys being part of a practice that is in the heart of a friendly, close-knit community that truly makes you feel at home and where patients are warm and welcoming. As a front desk team member, Chiane sets the tone for a positive patient experience by providing a warm welcoming, keeping schedules organized and ensuring clear communication. She supports both our patients and our clinical team to help Juniper Dentistry run smoothly and efficiently.

In her free time, she enjoys building LEGO sets as a creative and relaxing outlet. She is also a big fan of puzzles – especially Sudoku! She even uses an app to time herself just to see how fast she can finish them. Chiane also has an interest in crime documentaries, finding the investigation process fascinating and thought-provoking.

Michelle joined our team in February 2025, and is one of the smiling faces you will see when you walk through our doors, helping you check in and schedule your visits. She also helps our office runs smoothly, developing new processes to help information flow from new and existing patients and from the specialists we work with. She enjoys finding new ways to help reassure people who may be nervous about their dental visit.

When not in the office, Michelle can be found puttering around her native pollinator garden in good weather, or reading the latest book for her book club.

Shanekqua joined our team in August 2025. She attended Malcom X College for phlebotomy, and Harry S. Truman College for her Associates of Science degree. Shanekqua loves our team and our patients, and works hard to provide support, schedule appointments, contact our patients and make sure everyone is smiling.

Shanekqua has five children, who she spends most of her time with, as well as one dog. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, doing hair and shopping. She also runs a catering company on the weekends!

Janice started consulting at Juniper Dentistry in 2021 and took a leadership role in 2024. She is responsible for HR, billing and collections, and owns all operational aspects outside of clinical care and patient coordination. She appreciates how the practice is always moving forward and is dedicated to making every patient’s experience better while simplifying processes behind the scenes. She loves having a fantastic team where everyone is genuinely passionate about taking great care of our patients!

Janice and her husband have a 15-year-old poodle/schnauzer rescue who spends most of the day snoozing but perks right up at mealtime.
